Ownership of the MSP/Purchasing for the assigned product category/technology
Experience with managing a purchasing budget
Generate Purchase Orders in response to MRP generated Purchase Requisitions in an efficient manner, with due regard for cost, lead time, quality, continuous improvement and cost reduction
Effectively negotiate with Suppliers
Identify and report cost savings, as directed
Action and close quality notifications in a timely manner, and in accordance with set targets. Expedite internally to ensure timely action by stakeholders
Manage supplier relationships and performance
Communicate in a timely manner changes which will impact production plan by revising the delivery schedule to ensure that it reflects changes
Liaise with Production Schedulers, Lab, Warehouse, Product Commercialization, Formulations and Customer Services as appropriate.
