Description

• Laying sound cables, SDI cables and fiber optics cables.• Setting up and installing microphones, video monitors, projectors, Laptop computers, speakers, and video cameras.• Setting up and configuring wireless microphone systems.• Planning AV needs for large events.• Engineer in charge for multi camera video productions.• Conducting sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment.• Work with staff and students to make sure all front of house sound needs are met.• Operating sound and visual equipment during live events.• Troubleshooting equipment and ensuring events run smoothly.• Assembling audio and visual equipment and packing up after the event.• Configuring equipment for YouTube live stream.• Troubleshoot fiber optics connectivity issues.• Troubleshoot Building PA issues.• Troubleshoot front of house sound systems.• Install and maintain professional broadcast equipment this will include studio cameras, Base stations, production switchers, switcher control panel, distribution amps audio and video, SDI patch bays, A/V router, Smart controllers, wireless AV transmitters and receivers, master sync generator, Standard converters, opticalCon LC patch bays, wired and wireless intercom systems and optical patch cables.• Terminating cables, which includes SDI video cables, RF Cables audio cables, Cat5 and Cat6 cables. This will include soldering and crimping cables connectors.• Cleaning fiber optics connectors.• Consulting and designing for future projects.Audio Video Technician/ Broadcast engineer Requirements:• Previous experience working as an AV technician/ Broadcast engineer.• In-depth knowledge of sound, video, equipment.• Familiarity with computers and IP Networking Systems.• Basic knowledge of sound mixing techniques.• Excellent troubleshooting skills.• Being able to troubleshoot technical problems under pressure.• Basic knowledge of using electronic test equipment, this includes Digital Multimeter, oscilloscopes, video waveform monitor, vectorscope, video test generators, rf spectrum analyzer, rf Generators, fiber optic light meters, light source and otdr's, cat 5 and 6 testers. • A keen eye for detail.• High level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment.• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
