Cable Technician

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Cable Technician based in New York City. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining cable system infrastructure in the telecommunications industry, as well as installing various cabled devices. Responsibilities: Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cable system infrastructure Installing and setting up data and voice cables for residential cable television and home router systems Ensuring successful installation of cabled devices for home security systems Upgrading existing cable television and internet systems as needed Conducting regular maintenance on cable systems to ensure optimal performance Utilizing knowledge of cat5/cat6 to enhance system performanceCable Installation, Cabling, Coax Cable, and Digital.Requirements Install the TV's on the StandsInstall the Center SpeakerUnbox the hardware and installInstall the UPS, WattBox, Switch and SonicWALLInstall the Workstation for casting dataInstall the 6 APs in the new spaceWiring re-work for devices Experience with patch panels and AB testing Skilled in cable installation, cabling, and coax cable Knowledge of digital systems Able to work effectively in a team environment Strong problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and customer service skills Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks Physical ability to handle, lift, and install cables and related equipment Ability to follow safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks Previous experience as a cable technician Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
