- Engage in building an entirely new set of enterprise applications and platforms that will be used by clients and internal users globally
- Program code by using various cloud technologies ( AWS, Terraform, HCL ), frontend (not limited to JavaScript, HTML CSS), backend (not limited to Java, Spring, Hibernate) and database
- Design and deliver a well-architected cloud-native system that is self-healing, cost-efficient and easily updated and maintained
- Help to define, communicate and promote best practices for public cloud application development across the department
- Develop software and tooling to secure and automate cloud infrastructure and software delivery capabilities
- Work as part of a team to hit delivery milestones and navigate blocker issues. Perform code reviews, make code quality decisions, and ship solutions to provide value to our business
- Be involved in all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC) including effort estimation, the gathering of business requirements, the design, development, reviewing, building, testing, and deployment of commercial scale software changes
- Apply Agile methodologies in sprint-based development
- Analyze new tools and technologies for proof of concept and come up with recommendations. Stay current with Cloud technologies
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
- 7 years of software development experience, or 5+ with an advanced degree
- Experience defining technical architectures and developing software on Amazon Web Services
- Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks (preferably Terraform & Ansible)
- Experience with automation & provisioning solutions
- Experience in Java, C/C, JavaScript, Objective C, C#, or Python
- Excellent object oriented or functional analysis and design skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a global team
- Experience advocating for customer issues/needs
- Experience working in a Linux environment, including system engineering, high availability design, performance analysis, network troubleshooting
- Knowledge of container technologies: ECS, Docker and Kubernetes " Experience working in a Git based CI/CD SDLC environment.
- Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka or MQ
- Experience building scalable and distributed microservices
- Experience working with relational and no-SQL database systems
- Interest and ability to learn frameworks, technologies, and programming languages as needed
