Description We are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our team in located in FARMINGDALE, New York. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will play an integral part in managing customer credit processes and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Your key responsibilities will revolve around overseeing customer accounts, processing payments, and effectively collaborating with our accounting and finance teams.Responsibilities: Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and ensure timely follow-ups. Engage with customers through various communication channels to coordinate debt payments. Establish and manage payment plans with customers who have overdue balances. Keep track of customer interactions and update the collections software or CRM systems accordingly. Oversee the processing of payments and maintain precise records of payment schedules. Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Utilize your skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Collection Processes to ensure efficient operations. Actively participate in the resolution of outstanding customer balances by negotiating payment plans with delinquent customers. Ensure the accurate recording and updating of customer interactions in collections software or CRM systems. Collaborate with internal teams to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.Requirements Possess knowledge and proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) Have an understanding of Collection Processes Ability to effectively communicate with customers to resolve payment issues Proven experience in a similar role within the Logistics industry would be beneficial Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software Detail-oriented with an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
