Community Habilitation Worker

In search of a support staff who will take the role of encourager, mentor, and creative companion. Individual in need is a 33 year old female on the autism spectrum. Pay starts at $20/hr with the potential for a raise down the line. The support staff will have flexible hours, primarily daytime hours are needed, during the week. Services will be provided 2-3 days a week for up to a total of 15 hours/week. This includes occasional weekends and evenings.

Duties includes providing personal transportation and facilitating connections. Additional duties include:

Providing social and emotional support at art classes and events, finding opportunities to sell her work and strengthen skills, assist in career development by giving job support, and teach interpersonal/engagement skills. The employee's personality traits should be adventurous, outgoing, and friendly. She would prefer someone who is a local to the Rochester, Churchville, Bergen, Brockport, or North Chili area.
