Overview:Risk & Control – Compliance Risk Transformation Business AnalystThis new role is part of the ICG Risk and Control team, supporting the Global Head and Regional Leads of ICG Compliance Risk Transformation in remediating key Compliance Risks for the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) globally.

The Regional ICG Risk and Control Compliance Transformation Business Analyst will work with the Global Lead, Regional Leads and project management colleagues across the ICG businesses to design and implement compliance risk remediation work efforts. Through this work, the Business Analyst will identify underlying drivers of remediation, complete assessments and help support the path back to required risk tolerance.

The role will support the Global and Regional Lead in executing remediation programs, aligned initiatives and completing assessments across compliance risk areas. The role will engage with both line of business and functions across the 1st and 2nd Line, to define and implement the required end to end compliance risk control framework. This will require extensive coordination with internal stakeholders to support and meet required standards, whilst enabling suitable engagement with impacted lines of business. In addition, this role will require specialist expertise in key compliance risks, along with project delivery and implementation skills to deliver sustainable outcomes across business and regions.

Responsibilities:• Work with the ICG line of business project teams as well as second line teams team to assist in the design of required outcomes to implement the compliance risk control end states that meets all committed requirements and commercial needs.• Support in the mobilization and delivery of the initiatives required to remediate compliance risks across lines of business, functions and locations.• Conduct data gathering and analysis in order to complete all required regulatory control assessments, ensuring each step is documented appropriately• Validate outcomes of regulatory controls assessments with necessary stakeholders through workshops and offsites• Where necessary, support in the design of processes and tools to aide in the completion of regulatory control assessments• Assist in the prioritization of remediation items identified through the regulatory assessments,• Support in the management and integration of identified remediation/project outputs into 'business as usual'.• Assist the Global Lead and Regional Lead in establishing effective governance for direct and indirect initiatives contributing to the remediation of identified risks in line with a Major Global Bank change methodology.• Assist the Global lead and Regional Lead in developing the required program frameworks that evidence risk assessment and scope, through to remediation and operation within risk appetite.• Work with project management teams across the ICG to define suitable approaches, detailed execution plans and associated reporting on the status of work efforts relative to defined committed deadlines• Work with all stakeholders across lines of defense to ensure credible challenge throughout the remediation process and validation of results in line with Client's Internal requirements.• To assist the Global and Regional lead's workload by taking ownership and responsibility for specific projects and initiatives where necessary, through delivering end-to-end, sustainable outcomes for the impacted lines of business and locations.• Support in the reporting on status of the program to various stakeholders both internally and externally.

Qualifications & skills:• Experience in working within risk areas dealing with regulatory or compliance risk in 1st or 2nd line of defence• Experience implementing change in institutional business lines, geographies and functions• Specific experience from within large scale transformation programs• Sound understanding and experience of key processes with an Investment Bank• Able to provide support to leadership and influence in matrix organization.• Project management and change capabilities are essential• Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast paced environment.• Ability to analyse a process and recommend ways to improve quality, controls, and efficiency• Regulatory risk mitigation mindset• Experience in risks and controls, particularly in the assessment of control design and implementation of regulatory controls• Experience in a subset of key regulations such as MiFID II/MiFIR, Volcker, EMIR, MAR and prudential regulations e.g., Reg K, Reg W preferable• Undergraduate and/or graduate degree(s) in related field(s)
