Job Description: Computer Integrated Manufacturing Engineers (several positions, junior to senior levels)

Seeking self-driven and motivated professionals to join the Manufacturing IT (Information Technology) Systems team onsite in Dutchess County, NY. As a CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with our key business partners and IT peers in understanding the many manufacturing applications enabling and supporting the factory. This highly advanced, fully automated factory is staffed with 1,000 employees (50 of which are within IT), partnered with a substantial global network of remote support (all focused on ensuring its success). We're looking to build on that foundation, and continue taking things to the next level, by bringing in additional well-organized, process-oriented, and data-driven talent.

Performance Objectives

• Drive various manufacturing application related analyses, summaries, socializations, funding requests, and subsequent executions associated with our strong growth objectives including:

• A dependency analysis to understand what data is coming into the factory and what data is going out of the factory

• A knowledge/skill gap assessment to understand where risks and opportunities exist

• The localization of remotely hosted manufacturing applications

• The replacement of select manufacturing applications

• The reconnection of local manufacturing applications to corporate enterprise applications

• Prepare for and enable the operational integration - such as:

• Establishing a plan to execute on

• Aligning to the company culture, strategy, and way of doing things to constructively help the local team to see that more clearly and easily

• Implementing standard processes, metrics, and KPI's

• Building, developing, and maintaining strong working relationships with the local team (to assist with multi-threading bottleneck areas) and the global team (to assist with directing remote help locally)

• Showing day-to-day continuous improvement

• Support the steady-state sustaining of the manufacturing applications post acquisition/integration - such as:

• Absorb technical software / functional business knowledge to bridge gaps that will exist as a result of the carve-out

• Become primary owner of respective manufacturing applications, technically enhance/support each, maintain associated documentation, and ensure their 24x7 availability

• Understand how respective manufacturing applications support the site operations in general, from end-to-end

• Work with our global IT peers to facilitate getting their attention and engagement directed to the factory as needed

• Create templates, repeatable processes, and playbook material to be reused in future acquisitions and integrations

Qualifications - External Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and/or related engineering/technical field

• 3-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Any associated Mergers & Acquisitions work is a plus

• Hard skills/interests in systems and analysis

• Familiar with, and able to utilize, software development/operations/integration methodologies and best practices, general infrastructure design, and project management concepts and approaches

• Able to identify technology needs, formulate corresponding solutions, and utilize systematic methods/processes in doing so

• Able to manage and drive multiple concurrent tasks/projects involving many types of resources (FTE's, vendors, contractors, interns, etc.)

• Innate assertiveness, flexibility, initiative, organization, and attention to detail

• Able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

• Comfortable working in a dynamic/global/matrix environment, often in remote/virtual settings
