Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing supervision on all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical and building mechanical equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, locks and carpentry.
  • Monitor and supervise outside contractors in support to the Facilities Department, including coordinating project activities and providing scheduling support.
  • Perform facility inspections and reports back on any condition affecting operation and recommend actions to be taken.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance calls and emergencies.
  • Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required
  • Perform snow removal when necessary.
  • Provide daily office operations.
  • Independently maintain and update Facilities administrative policies and process.
  • Effectively communicates and responds to Facilities Work Requests.
  • Assist in office relocations and small office moves.
  • Performs office furniture knockdowns and re-installs.
  • Garbage removal when needed.
  • Other assigned tasks as requested.

Work Environment

Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and shop environments.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkFull-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, the position requires occasional overnight, on-call duty and the ability to work during non-standard hours when the need arises.

Travel – Between all NY-Market locations.

Required Education and Experience

College or Technical school degree. 4-5 years of experience working in Facilities, maintenance and an office environment or setting.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience

EPA 608 Technician Certified, 5-7 years of related Facilities Management experience or a related field preferred.

Experience

Preferred
  • 4 - 5 years: Experience working in facilities, maintenance, and an office environment or setting.
