Description We are looking for a Controller to manage financial reporting and monthly closing in our New York office. This role will be focused on the Real Estate industry and will involve working with MRI software to manage a team of property accountants. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting and monthly closing procedures Review and analyze financial statements including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets Implement cash basis accounting across the organization Supervise and guide a team of property accountants Leverage commercial real estate experience to enhance financial operations Utilize MRI software for various financial processes and operations Oversee budget processes and ensure financial compliance Analyze and prepare financial statements on a monthly basis Reconcile monthly balance sheets and address discrepancies Manage and facilitate month-end close procedures.
