Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in AMHERST, New York, 14228-2041, United States. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of accounting transactions, managing other accounting personnel, and formulating accounting policies. This role will also include the preparation of financial reports, managing the company's cash flow, and developing financial performance metrics.Responsibilities: Oversee the recording and integrity of all the company's accounting transactions. Manage the reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy. Control the preparation, entry, closing, and approval of journal entries. Oversee the reconciliation of daily deposits across all locations. Manage the reconciliation of the company's bank accounts. Assist in the preparation of the company's financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Oversee and manage the company's cash flow on different timelines. Manage other personnel within the accounting department. Formulate and recommend improvements to existing accounting policies. Develop written protocols for all financial workflows including cash handling procedures, end of day reconciliation procedures, credit card procedures, and personal check management procedures. Prepare periodic financial statements for CFO/Owners. Develop and monitor financial performance metrics to provide actionable insights. Requirements Minimum of five years of experience in a Controller role or similar position Proficiency in all accounting functions Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proven track record in auditing procedures and practices Familiarity with budget processes and planning Experience in executing month end close procedures Ability to handle bi-monthly payroll processing Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
