Actalent is hiring a Software Engineer for a large commercial company located around Syracuse, NY. Position offers full time benefits with paid vacation, and paid holidays. Description:
Work with engineering team / feature owners to clarify requirements
Selection of the appropriate method to control and/or diagnose a given feature
Consideration for system characteristics and constraints with input from multi-functional team
Able to understand high level system requirements and existing functional reference implementations in C/C code base.
Create feature specific content, develop model design including model Properties, I/O interfaces, validate with model viewer and perform advisor check and code coverage.
Interpret system and software requirements to develop test cases, test scripts and perform unit testing with a test coverage report for the developed models.
Ensure the developed models integrated with handwritten code and the final software is run embedded target hardware.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Prior development experience with MathWorks products. (Simulink, State flow and Simscape)
Understanding/Prior development experience with C code
3+ years of experience in model-based software development in MATLAB/Simulink
2+ years of experience in controls software design and development
Experience with test automation software
