You are a serious cook with good organizational skills and sharp knives. You thrive on making delicious food for appreciative diners. You like to be part of a small team. You have at least 1.5 years of experience in a serious kitchen.

What’s the pay:

$25 per hour.

Who we are:

Houseman is a nine-year-old restaurant with a creative seasonal menu. Our customers are a mix of regulars and destination diners. The team in the kitchen is small. We worked together before and through the pandemic. We value diversity and practice inclusion, good communication and mutual respect throughout the restaurant.

Our food:

Our name-Houseman-refers to a Scandanavian word that translates to seasonal local food. Houseman’s menu investigates what that is in New York City today. Our careful but not fussy food blends the familiar with the unexpected. We love big, well-articulated flavors, contrasting textures, spices, and acidity.
