Cookie / Cake Decorator Needed

We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cake decorating. This role offers an opportunity to grow. District Dog Bakery is the Premier Dog Bakery in NYC in addition to our storefront our products are sold throughout the tri state area.

Duties

Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts using various techniques, tools, and edible decorations to create visually appealing products.

Package finished baked goods carefully to ensure freshness and presentation quality.

Prepare ingredients and assist in food production tasks such as mixing, baking, and assembling cakes.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety regulations.

Ensure all products meet quality standards before delivery or customer pickup. .

Qualifications

Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or culinary arts preferred.

Strong skills in cake decorating techniques, including piping.

Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.

Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes.

Background in food production or kitchen experience within the food industry is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail and creativity in design work.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

Good communication skills and ability to provide friendly customer service.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
