Jack & Charlie’s no.118, is an 85 seat Upscale New American Restaurant located in the West Village in Manhattan. We are currently open for dinner seven nights a week along with serving brunch on the weekends. We are currently looking for passionate and talented Line Cooks that have experience with upscale dining along with cooking at a high volume. We are offering competitive pay in return of being part of something special here at our restaurant. Must be able to work weekends. Non-negotiable. We could also do part-time as well.
Responsibilities:
Set up and stock stations
Prep stations daily
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared to our specifications
Report directly to Executive Chef & Sous Chefs
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Requirements:
Proven cooking experience in an upscale restaurant
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Weekend availability a must
Flexibility with scheduling
