Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service role in the service industry based in CORTLAND, New York. The job involves administrative support to the sales and operations groups, processing orders, managing accounts, and resolving customer inquiries.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications and ensure efficient operation Maintain and manage existing and new client accounts Act as a liaison between customers, account managers, and operations as required Use available financial tools to determine clients' credit worthiness and status Validate all documentation submitted by the client Research and assist in resolving account problems Create Intercompany projects and deposit invoices Submit internal match payments and assist in resolving invoicing issues as necessary Ensure all quality standards and order requirements are met Use various systems such as iConnect, Phoenix, PeopleSoft, and EPF for order processing and customer service operations. Requirements Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems for tracking financial transactions. Experience with ADP - Financial Services for managing payroll and employee data. Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode for communication in a networked environment. Knowledge of CRM tools for managing customer relationships and interactions. Ability to use About Time software for efficient time and resource management. Proficiency in performing Accounting Functions such as bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax preparation. Experience with Billing Functions including issuing invoices, tracking payments, and handling discrepancies. Familiarity with Budget Processes for planning and monitoring the company's financial resources. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management. Experience with Collection Processes for recovering overdue payments. Ability to make Account Adjustments to correct errors or update financial records. Strong Customer Service skills for addressing customer needs and ensuring their satisfaction. Experience in Import Customer Service, handling inquiries and issues related to imported goods. Proficiency in using Customer service software for tracking customer interactions and resolving issues.
