- Seeking an IT Security Professional with experience assessing and mitigating IT/OT systems.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT related field
- Minimum 7-9 years of IT Security experience
- Certifications including CISSP, CEH, CISA are a plus
- Experience performing IT Security assessments on various applications and provide solutions to remediate vulnerabilities and improve security posture.
- Strong analytical skills required to analyze requirements and relate requirements to the appropriate design and security controls.
- Excellent technical knowledge of Windows operating systems and a wide range of IT Security Technologies, including network security appliances, firewalls, identity and access management, anti-malware, automated policy compliance and desktop security tools.
- Knowledge of server & network infrastructure hardware such as routers, firewalls, VPN,S AN and the associated protocols and concepts
- Solid foundation in information technology, including the principles and practices of systems analysis, design, administration, project management and the functions of an Enterprise IT Department.
- Extensive knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, PowerPoint & Visio
- Ability to make decisions and provide solutions by inquiring, listening and evaluating policies and requirements.
- Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must.
- 6+ years' experience with: Information Security, Network Support, Oral and Written Communication Skills, Troubleshooting and Network Analysis
- 4-6 years' experience with: IT Security Administration
- 2-4 years' experience with meeting deadlines, being detail oriented, and having strong planning and organizing skills.
- The candidate must currently live in the New York Metropolitan Area and work onsite in lower Manhattan.
- The consultant shall ensure systems installed and operated in the agency environment meet defined Cybersecurity standards, comply with existing policies, specifications, configuration, internal controls, data protection, auditing, monitoring and other relevant items.
- The consultant shall assist in identifying, managing and mitigating security risks for applications, networks and systems.
- Identify gaps by evaluating business operations, project documents and requirements.
- Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses; study architecture and provide reports, recommendations and guidance to Senior Management.
- Onsite visits and travel throughout the agency region is required.
- The candidate must currently live in the New York Metropolitan Area.
