- Building and managing mission-critical data workflows for core PEU teams and special projects across multiple front-end and back-end environments including AWS Redshift, Salesforce, NGP VAN, etc.
- Identifying opportunities for automation of routine processes and coordinating with teammates and partner agencies to implement automation.
- Analyzing process and outcome data to develop metrics that measure program impact and inform program and policy development.
- Supporting analysts in developing routine and special reports to clearly articulate program outputs and impact to a wide variety of audiences using a range of data visualizations, tables, and maps.
- Working with PEU Data & Analytics staff to collaborate with other city agencies and organizations to utilize new technological resources, encourage data sharing, and teach best practices for outreach.
- 3+ years working with to improve operational and reporting data processes and infrastructure, including 1+ years working in government, or in community, issue, labor, or political organizing
- Experience using one or more of the following data processing, analysis, and visualization tools in a professional setting: SQL, Python, R, GIS, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Excel/Google Sheets (advanced)
- Experience using 1+ of the following platforms: NGP VAN, Salesforce, Hustle, Mobilize and Reach
- Experience processing, cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets and building pipelines to automate these steps, preferably in an AWS Redshift environment
- A demonstrated interest in public service and improving the lives of New Yorkers
- Eagerness to take initiative, ask questions, learn new skills, and solve problems in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
