Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Data Conversion Specialist position! This is an 18+ month contract role. Position Overview In this role, staff will provide a data conversion design detailed technical plan, lead, and be responsible for converting legacy data and loading into the new eNotary system. Staff will be responsible for verifying data quality and integrity during the data conversion process and responsible for performance and integrity of the data storage, queries and reporting on the eNotary solution. Staff will conduct data conversion, data migration, develop a data refresh strategy plan technical documentation, create data mapping, data reporting, and error exception reports. Staff will create and develop a thorough data validation test plan, using the data conversion and migration tool in support of eNotary, work with architects, and developers to configure and support eNotary back office and Oracle integration points and activities. What You'll Be Doing: •Participate in implementation/discovery meetings, and act as central point of contact for client leadership during the database migration planning, implementation, and post-implementation project phases.•Analyze and interpret business rules and workflows during the data migration process.•Produce written deliverables for data requirement specifications and support documentation.•Produce and deliver formal process mapping documents, data dictionaries, and entity relational data model diagrams.•Provide a data validation test plan and conduct data validation test.•Develop performance metrics/data analysis.•Troubleshoot issues in reports related to data and compare data from multiple angles.•Confirm with the customer the data migration techniques and methodology to be used.•Identify risks that could impact a successful migration.•Document, review, and confidently communicate status effectively to the project team lead.•Provide statistical reports of data moved, transformed, cleansed, and loaded.•Convert client data from various sources, including document management systems, records management systems and matter management systems.•Analyze data in legacy formats and validate data sets to ensure that data consistency and internal requirements are met.•Develop procedures, scripts, and utilities for conversion processes that transform the data to meet business requirements.•Provide expert knowledge to state staff.•Participate in project governance activities.•Investigate new tools and new technology.•Implement correct design pattern for a particular use case.•Create accurate and timely documentation for specifications, design documents, test cases, and knowledge transfer. What You'll Need to Have: •Bachelor's Degree in Math, Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.•A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience, including:•Successful full project life cycle implementations with architectural and technical leadership experience in data migration from legacy systems to the proposed solution system. With strong data analyzing skills, create Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) of the sources and destination using Data Modeler tools of the proposed solution.•Experience in IT in the areas of Application Design and Implementation, Proven record with hands on experience in architect, design, develop and implement highly scalable and reliable data model to provide quality and accurate data to support enterprise scale IT e-Notary system. Address client and leadership requests related to functionality additions, data related questions. •Experience working with business analyst, clients to collect As-is legacy data business requirement, provide gap analysis, solutioning the To-be data model by working with application development leads from the Portal, SOA Integration and BackOffice teams. •Ability to understand customers' needs, write technical Data Conversion specifications, enforce Database Conversion, Data Mapping, Data Extract, Data Transformation, Data Load, Data Cleansing, Data Refresh and Data Security standards. •Experience in ETL tools, understand data warehousing, data mart and MDM concept, create logical and physical relational database, perform SQL turning. •Experience in data analyzing, data extraction, data mapping, data transformation with thorough understanding of data protection, data governance, database system and software.•Experience in the field of data science industry with data storage, data artificial intelligence and machine learning concept to transform once the legacy stagnant and static data into modernized web and AI based system to make sure information is read, extracted and transformed accurately.•Experience in setting up cybersecurity data measures, authenticating data, ensuring and preserving data integrity, ethically handling private data.•Experience in all aspect of the databases like Mainframe DB, Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server Database•Experience in configuring database and database servers to make sure database can provide SLA settings to support enterprise level system, monitoring the performance of hardware and software, table objects, index objects, concurrent DB users and DB tablespace, DB memories.•Experience in database development creating tables, views, complex queries, triggers, procedures and packages and performance tuning in an Oracle database or MSSQL database, with real hands on experience on data integration process using SSIS Microsoft ETL tool.•Prior work with New York State preferredQuestions about any of our jobs?
