Location: 2 Days Onsite/Remote (Basking Ridge, NJ or White Plains,NY)

Required Skills :Experience with Java, Python, Web, exposure to Data/ Big data technologies.Prefer property and casualty insurance industry experience

Job Description: Overview:We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems. You will work closely with our data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to develop and implement efficient and effective data pipelines. Requirements:

  • 8+ years of strong experience with Java and/or Python programming languages.

  • 5+ years of strong experience with big data technologies such as SQL Server, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

  • Experience with data processing, data warehousing, and ETL.
  • Familiarity with data quality and data management best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain data processing systems using Java, Python, and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to develop and implement efficient and effective data pipelines.
  • Implement data quality checks and troubleshoot data processing issues.
  • Optimize data processing systems to improve performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processing systems.
  • Stay current with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices.
Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
