Our client is the newly formed Enterprise Chief Data Office of a top tier global Financial Information, Data and Analytics firm. - They seek
a Senior Data Governance Team Leader. This will be a Senior Data Governance Technology Engineer who will lead a small, agile team supporting all business and support functions across the company specific to Data Governance (e.g. Business Glossary, Catalog, Lineage & Data Quality). This is a formative opportunity to influence and innovate as part of the new CDO function. In this role, you will partner with architecture, technology & business leaders to design and engineer the company's new cutting-edge Data Governance solution.Responsibilites:- Lead an agile team which delivers end to end technical Data Governance solutions leveraging 3rd party software (e.g. Collibra, Informatica, Alation), in line with modern, highly automated processing requirements as specified by the business and in alignment with CISO/Risk data controls
- Contribute towards the standards and solutions that help define & drive integration of Data Governance solutions with new and strategic technology assets (e.g., applications, APIs, Business Event Messages) across the firm
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to tackle tough design, product, and engineering problems.
- Integrate Data Governance technology with the firm's Standards (Data Provisioning, Active Directory)
- Leverage workflow tools to maintain accurate status of assigned tasks (JIRA, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 2-4+ years of experience leading an agile team that is implementing Data Governance technology across all global businesses
- Solid communication and collaborations skills
- Experience implementing Data Controls (Data Privacy, Entitlements, Protection) in alignment with Data Governance
- Strong understanding of Data Governance Concepts including Metadata Management, Glossary, Lineage, and Data Quality
- Expertise in both cloud and on-prem deployments
- Hands-on experience as a developer for both new build and change management
- Self-starter with a willingness to step outside normal boundaries given the startup nature of this role
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with Collibra Data Governance Cloud
- Collibra Ranger or Solution Architect
- Experience with AWS including Glue, HCatalog, Lambda etc
