Onsite and Remote. This role requires SME to visit the data centers for break fix issues and maintenance support

Data Centers are in New Jersey & Manhattan.

Role Responsibilities:

Assist client with the transitional responsibilities related to the post-implementation management, migration support, and knowledge transfer to support delivered storage solutions.
Share ownership of transitional responsibility for the storage solution migration, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, provisioning, and service level alignments.
Assist with the storage solution documentation of policies and procedures in conjunction with the compliance manager(s) and with other key stakeholders.
Provide knowledge transfer of best practices to address Client’s skills and resource gaps, to ensure successful implementation of storage solutions (business continuity, high availability, backup, recovery and archiving).
Management of configuration and layout of the storage infrastructure. Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with EMC and Customer change management policies.
Design data migration architecture as required.
Responsible for Run Book ongoing updates.
Responsible for capacity planning as well as disaster recovery planning and design as applicable.
Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization and improved SLAs.
Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews as applicable.
Provide regular reports on a monthly basis summarizing the work completed during such period and the status of the work in process, the status of any known problems or outstanding issues, and the status of open change request, if any.

Requirements and Experience:

Must-have skills:
- DELL EMC Unity Family
- Design, Implement and Administration
- DELL EMC XtremIO Family Design, Implement and Administration
- DELL EMC XtremIO Solutions Technology Architect
- DELL EMC VNX1/VNX2 Design, Implement and Administration.
- Cisco Connectix Design, Implement and Administration
Strong experience with CISCO MDS SAN switches, configuration and zoning
Strong experience with DELL-EMC Storage units e.g powermax, Xtremio, Unity.
Performance troubleshooting, capacity planning. Knowledge of Vmware, hyperv is required.
Connectivity troubleshooting between hosts, switches and storage . Work with dell emc support to troubleshoot any SAN related issues
