Design Engineer

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer in the tech industry, based in New York. You will be playing a key role in our team, focusing on the design of our buyer-facing and brand/dealership-facing products. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining our design system and collaborating with backend engineers to implement designs.Responsibilities: Leading the design efforts for our customer-oriented products Ensuring the evolution and maintenance of our design system while upholding high UI/UX standards Collaborating closely with backend engineers to bring functional, pixel-perfect designs to life Building and maintaining reusable component libraries for front-end use Prototyping and specifying new features with a focus on functionality and aesthetics Leveraging JavaScript, TypeScript, and React or similar frontend frameworks in the design process Utilizing Figma for design systems and prototyping Applying knowledge of frontend best practices and performance optimization Employing Cypress or similar testing tools, where necessary, to ensure design quality.
