Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a DevOps Engineer in the manufacturing industry situated in New York, New York. The role involves managing and developing AWS EKS environments, diagnosing Kubernetes issues, and providing support across various time zones.Responsibilities: Administer AWS EKS environments, ensuring optimal performance and security. Diagnose and resolve complex Kubernetes issues across a diverse range of workloads. Collaborate with teams to create and maintain AWS environments. Display proficiency in AWS technologies to effectively manage and troubleshoot issues. Provide support across different time zones, specifically CEST (European) and EST (US). Leverage your skills in Kubernetes and Amazon EKS to enhance system performance. Maintain professional certification in Kubernetes Administration (CKA). Ensure AWS Associate Level or Professional Level certification is up to date. Adapt to changes in workload and adjust priorities as necessary. Requirements Proficient in AWS Technologies Demonstrable experience with Kubernetes Practical knowledge of Amazon EKS Familiarity with modern manufacturing processes and industry best practices Strong problem-solving abilities Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems in layman's terms Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Proven experience in troubleshooting and improving existing systems and processes Adept at working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Continual learner, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred Previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
