Hybrid ScheduleDirect client ( financial company ) is looking for the hands-on

DevOps Engineer(s)/Consultant who will lead the way for the

DevOps environment.

FIX Protocols experience is a MUST. Working knowledge of Python is a MUSTThe ideal engineer will bring their experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help drive DevOps initiatives.To be successful, one must effectively communicate with our

trade support and operations team to orchestrate the creation of solutions that can scale.The responsibilities include building a process for automation as well as contributing to the development of internal tools to achieve operational efficiency.From creating and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve existing ones, a DevOps Engineer increases productivity in the workplace.-

Trade Support Duties:

Provide technical and development support to internal and external clients and software vendors utilizing

FIX (4.2/4.4) for e-trading,

prices and STP in various financial productsBuild solutions to existing platforms based on client and business feedbackWork with external software vendors that have integrated with our systems, or vice versaCo-ordinate the release of new applications and

FIX configurations and enhancements with external clientsIdentify and manage any integration issues

Provide 3rd level of support to production issues relating to FIX and Application SupportDocumenting procedures and training internal support teams

Technical Scripting Duties: Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-codeDesign and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environmentsDesigning procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenanceInvestigating and resolving technical issues by deploying updates / fixes.Build and test code continuously with scripting and programming languagesIncrease the sophistication of our alerting and escalation mechanisms

Project Management Duties: Work collaboratively with multiple agile teams to help deliver end-to-end products and features, seeing them through from conception to deliveryDevelop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoringContinuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvementSustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the trade support team

3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps / System EngineerProficiency in

scripting languages including Bash, Perl, Python, and JavaScriptExcellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Strong understanding of DNS, TCPDUMP, CDNS, SSL, Git, Firewalls and networking conceptsUnderstanding of system administration in Linux environmentsStrong knowledge of configuration management toolsStrong communication and documentation skillsSelf-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skillsStrong experience working with automation tools and a drive towards automating repetitive tasksFamiliar with software security best practicesUnderstanding of monitoring tools
