Director-Business Applications

This is a Hybrid position- MUST be local to NYC- Major apparel/retail firm is seeking a Director of Business applications to loin their IT Global team. You will partner with cross functional teams including merchandising, IT, and other businesses to understand how to best align IT capabilities to achieve critical business outcomes. This is a high visibility role with senior business executives. Lead and mentor a team of BSA's, application analysts and IT Managers to evolve the Merchandising portfolio team to support upcoming large IT initiatives. Act as Product Manager for merchandising IT Projects including large, multi-year initiatives, manage portfolio product backlogs, resource, scope and timeline commitments. Assess value and develop business cases associates with new capability requests and then prioritize against existing demand for delivery on key projects. Represent Merchandising and Planning Delivery as a key participant in the merchandising portfolio demand mgmt process and manage ongoing business demand , establish process and cadence for prioritization and status of demand items with key stakeholders, Minimum 10-15 yrs exp with RETAIL, WHOLESALE/VERTICAL RETAIL IT(either from IT or business working with IT on project delivery) . Broad systems knowledge of major retail applications, with demonstrated depth with core merchandising systems.Demonstrated exp partnering with business teams to translate pain points or opportunities into capability needs with targeted, measurable outcomes, preferably in a Product Mgr, product owner or similar role.MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED
