- Function as a hands-on people manager for a small team
- Partner with leaders across the business on different projects
- Lead new initiatives and projects related to optimizing sales growth marketing, segmenting customers, and various others
- You will be expected to lead this team on qualitative and quantitative projects, and to roll up your sleeves to lead the team daily
- This includes data pipeline, data warehouse, customer lifecycle marketing, business intelligence platform, customer lifetime value, customer segmentation, web and mobile app user flow, on-site creative analysis, A/B testing
- Determine how to leverage data science, machine learning, and other analytical techniques to offer actionable insights
- Leveraging data to contribute to and executing against the company's strategy, leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to drive smart decision making
- Identify key business challenges and develop insights and recommendations to address them
- Manage and balance the need to drive revenue and cost management for the organization including your team's budget and relationships
- Can transform complex strategic problems into simple visuals and dashboards for analytical and non-analytical teammates
- Let’s the numbers define the narrative rather than finding numbers to support a narrative
- Master's required, Ph.D. preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
- 10 + Years of Extensive commercial experience providing value to a company.
- Data Science Experience in Retail/E-Commerce/Fashion & Apparel environment is key5+ years of experience in people management or leadership in the data field - Partner closely with Marketing and Sales to understand our customer and use data to optimize our monthly advertising budgets and increase sales
- Advanced experience with SQL and Python for data analysis
- Analytical Tools - SAS, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, and R
- $180,000 - $230,000 base + bonus (averages to 20-30%)
