The Role: Director, SearchS&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a Director of Search to enhance our search capabilities for the Capital IQ Pro platform. Our ideal candidate will have:

Experience working on financial search products

An understanding of the use of financial data

Understanding of modern search, information retrieval and relevancy techniques.

Strong “big-picture thinking” and an innovative nature

Experience managing a team of product managers

The Location: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Virginia, North CarolinaThe Impact: The position plays a key role on the Capital IQ Platform’s Product Management team and for the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the search capabilities for the S&P Capital IQ financial desktop. You will also be responsible for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to ensure what we build drives real client value and working with our technical teams to measure and enhance our search relevancy models.Our Hiring Manager says / Other Accountabilities:“Successful candidates will combine an understanding of Search Relevance and content discovery, financial data, and user workflows. The ideal candidate will have previous experience building Search experiences on financial data platforms, working with Data Science teams to enhance relevancy and leading product teams. In addition, candidates should be able to work well in a dynamic team, be highly motivated with the ability to guide and deliver on the vision for search”.About You:

You will have a passion for building product and working with complicated product and systems

You will have the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences commanding sufficient subject matter expertise

You will be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a given time and under tight deadlines is important

You have a deep appreciation and knowledge of financial content and financial professional workflows

You have a deep appreciation for modern search and data science techniques

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Leading the search team on several high profile, high impact deliverables for our of search capabilities from concept through launch

Working with internal and external stakeholders to set the vision and build the long-term roadmap for search and content discovery capabilities

Work with our customers, business development and technical teams to understand, refine and deliver a search platform that delivers relevant, timely results

Developing and executing on go-to-market strategies for product rollout/launch

Be the subject matter expert on search

Manage a team of product managers for search

Lead the migration of users from legacy capabilities to new versions

Experience and Qualifications Required:

8-12 years of product management experience working with Agile/Scrum

Strong knowledge of global financial markets

Experience working with search systems

A professional, highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work and thrive in a team environment

Demonstrated ability to create and deliver complex solution including building and managing search platforms

Demonstrable, directly related product development work experience. Familiarity with major data, science a plus.

Excellent presentation skills. Ability to take on internal and external presentation responsibilities

Management experience, ability to lead and develop a global team of product managers

You are a passionate team member who is excited by challenges and actively participates in ideation

You take ownership of results and track critical metrics and use them to drive decision-making about what’s next

Compensation/Benefits Information:S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $225,000 Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.This role is eligible to receive S&P Global benefits.
