Job Title: Electrical EstimatorJob DescriptionA rapidly growing Electrical Contractor is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support a variety of private and public agency projects throughout NYC and the surrounding areas. Projects include private multifamily residential, NYCHA, and ground-up commercial.Responsibilities
Perform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for cost estimates for all stages of design.
Price HVAC, Fire Alarm, and solar systems.
Provide detailed takeoffs.
Occasionally handle construction documents such as RFI's and proposals.
Dependent on experience level, may be expected to go on-site walk-throughs.
Project budgets ranging from $10k to $50M.
Essential Skills
3+ years of experience in Electrical Estimating.
Experience supporting multifamily residential and commercial ground-up projects.
Experience in pricing for fire alarm and solar systems.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Onscreen Takeoff, Bid2Win or McCormick.
Takeoff experience.
Experience handling RFI's and proposals.
Excellent communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Client-facing experience.
Project management experience.
Electrical design knowledge.
AutoCAD proficiency.
Work EnvironmentThis is a salaried position requiring 5 days in our Astoria, Queens office, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The company provides equipment and estimating software. The firm is rapidly growing with a stable backlog of projects worth $3 million, with multiple projects out for bid.
