Location: East Syracuse, NY Description: Our client is currently seeking a Engineer-RF - IIJOB TITLE: RF Engineer (In-building / Venue)

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • iBwave certified and past experience with In-building design
  • Experience in RF Design & Optimization.
  • Knowledge of RF theory and practice as well as LTE/VoLTE Technology.
  • Experience in Design & Optimization of LTE/VoLTE networks

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Understanding of LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
  • Experience with Model Tuning.
  • Proficient in office computer applications: Various RF tools such as Mapinfo, post processing software etc., MS office. Knowledge of SQL scripting, VB Scripting, other professional software is plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation. Presentation skill and Power Point.
  • Excellent analytic, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and resolve issues.
  • Superior organizational time management, prioritization, and project planning skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to build trust and engagement, and act as a influencer at all levels within the group and being recognized as a leader within and outside of work group
JOB DUTIES:
  • Review iBWave designs with the local RF team and provide recommendations on OEM selection, antenna placement and frequencies to deploy.
  • Work with local IB/Venue PM to bid out and assign work to applicable design firms.
  • Complete necessary CIQ, RFDS, Regulatory and E911 tasks prior to activation of new IB or Venue project.
  • Search area issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals.
  • Partner with System Performance to improve various Network Key Performance Indicators.
  • Use internal tools to process regulatory compliance.
  • Perform Macro/Small Cell Design/In Building design including antenna selection and placement, utilize knowledge to contribute in network design are key responsibilities.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
  • Work on new cell sites, making sure site is properly integrated into network and optimized for peak performance.
  • Proactively looks for areas to improve overall network performance. Find and resolve system issues on the network by utilizing traditional and non-traditional means.
  • Provide leadership and direction to your team as well as other network teams.
  • Interact with cross functional teams to deploy and optimize components for best efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide subject matter expertise. Help train new team members and mentors current engineers. Provide presentations to other groups as required.
  • Take ownership of issues and drives them to resolution.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Even better if you have your Master's degree.
  • Four or more years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry.
  • iBwave certified I or II

LOGISTICS: Standard 8-5 job (40 hours / week).

LOCATION: Contractor will need to physically sit in East Syracuse office.

HYBRID- We are in a hybrid mode (Mon, Thur, Fri - WFH; Tue and Wed in office). The days that are WFH will likely be in the field doing site visits.
