About the position:

We're looking for an experienced Test Engineering Lab Manager. This leader will play a critical role in helping Raymond deliver the next generation of intralogistics solutions serving the material handling industry including automation, energy systems, telematics, and future innovations. You will:
  • Lead our verification and validation team and further elevate our processes and techniques to ensure delivery of quality product to the field.
  • Be responsible for multiple facilities and shifts.
  • Streamline the end-to-end testing process including ensuring technical resources, test equipment and fixtures, manual and automated process, and facility allocation at modifications.
  • Guide teams in defining and refining test strategies and test plans for new and existing features.
  • Manage employee performance (mentors, coaches, trains, and develops) through clear objective setting and timely, constructive, and candid performance management.
  • Develop innovative processes to improve throughput and reach increased success criteria with quality results.
  • Research, implement, and improve testing tools and processes for our products and teams.
  • Improve existing test suites and solutions to increase deployment confidence and speed.
  • Participate in design, code, and test case reviews. Provide feedback to improve the testability of our systems as well as the quality of our products and tests.
  • Mentor and train engineers on various topics and lead improvement efforts.
  • Analyze defects and gaps in quality to determine how to improve our test and development processes.
  • Shape a high-performing team while leading the team to embrace new ideas that produce outstanding results for customers.

About you:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or computer science
  • 8+ years of related experience, including 3+ years of engineering leadership
  • History of successfully coordinating and executing all aspects of testing efforts from project inception to post launch
  • A deep understanding of how to leverage automation in testing efforts and the ability to identify tests that would be optimal candidates for automation
  • The ability to develop a testing strategy that is customized and optimized for the situation at hand and communicate it effectively to stakeholders
  • Experience executing functional, non-functional, integration, system, regression, load, and end-to-end testing
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and facilitate actions
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, presentation)
  • Flexible, adaptable, and eager to deliver timely results despite unanticipated challenges
  • Persuasive, self-motivated, and goal oriented.
  • A fast learner: Demonstrates a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals with the ability to quickly grasp new technical areas when needed.
  • A team player: Possesses strong interpersonal skills, has experience building relationships and facilitating active collaboration.
