Montefiore is hiring an Instructional Designer with Optime and Anesthesia Credential for the Epic Team!

The position requires ASAP Epic Certification.

The Epic Instructional Designer works with the Epic Training Manager and the application team to develop the training program for a specific Epic application or applications. The Instructional Designer will master both an Epic application and the organization's specific workflow relevant to the application(s) in order to effectively design and develop instructor-led and technology delivered courses using content developmental tools. The Instructional Designer will work with subject matter experts to refine course content based on work flow analysis. The Instructional Designs, delivers and evaluates the training programs for a specific Epic application(s). Develops and maintains all training materials.

The Designer implements and follows a systematic design process for effective and efficient learning and works closely with staff to integrate best practices in developing technology-enhanced and blended courses. In addition to the content itself, the Instructional Designer also delivers training and assists with developing appropriate program evaluation tools in order to assess the effectiveness of each training module.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Master both an Epic application and the organization's specific workflow relevant to the application(s).
  • Develop and deliver the training program for their respective application(s)
  • Plan the design and development of training program(s) including selecting appropriate delivery methods and sources of content.
  • Build, test, and maintain the training environment.
  • Create and maintain all training materials.
  • Train and credential additional classroom trainers from within the organization to assist with end-user training.
  • Maintain policy and procedure documentation.
  • Maintain training curriculum, the training environment, and deliver ongoing training post-live.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant experience.
  • Certified in Epic
  • Curriculum development and training environment
  • Training Environment development
  • Build experience with 3 or more years'
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Experience using Captivate for Windows
  • Experience in adult education.
  • Detailed understanding of workflows and system configuration.
  • Experience communicating technical information to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated competency in areas of interpersonal skills, writing skills, effective communication, facilitation, coaching, organization skills, and presentation skills.
  • Clinical/operational experience
