The HIM Senior Application Analyst utilizes knowledge of the client's clinical or business requirements, Epic application capabilities, and his/her advanced technical skills to implement and support applications. The HIM Senior Application Analyst will work on the Epic Identity, ROI, Coding and Deficiency applications. The Epic Senior Application Analyst provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care.
The Senior Application Analyst requires Epic CertificatiionJOB RESPONSIBILTIIES:The Senior Application Analyst will achieve in-depth knowledge of the Epic application and serve as a liaison between users and the Epic implementation staff. Additionally, the Epic Senior Application Analyst performs a thorough analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues associated with Epic software. This Senior Analyst prepares detailed requirements specifications and provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and configuring systems and procedures that meet user requirements. The Senior Analyst will review and test new releases and document all outcomes of testing and serve as the support contact for the application. This position has responsibility within all phases of the application implementation including design, build, test, installation and maintenance of the application. JOB REQUIREMENTS:- A minimum of 8 years working in a related clinical, healthcare business, or technical position
- Application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience beneficial
- Project Management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflict, maintain issues list, and manage a project plan).
- Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of clinical area or business area to be supported
- Programming or other technical skills beneficial
- Experience dealing with end users
- The Senior Application Analyst must attend Epic training and meet the requirements for certification
- Some Senior Application Analyst positions on this project require a clinical license
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Strong communication, interpersonal and rapport-building skills
- Presentation skills
- Certification in Epic HIM Modules preferred
