Duties and Responsibilities:Reporting to the ESG Practice Director, the Project Specialist will communicate with program managers, attorneys, and clients as well as monitor the progress of projects and programs to keep them on schedule. Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Draft pitch decks and other business development materials
  • Generate long- and short-term project plans: setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and allocating resources
  • Track project performance using KPIs, metrics, tools, and techniques
  • Support project delivery leads in managing the communication and internal coordination of client projects
  • Review and assess clients’ ESG programs against industry, peer and market best practices
  • Identify gaps in existing client ESG programs and develop actionable improvement plans
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve strategic program objectives
  • Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities across multiple projects
  • Assist in the definition of client engagement scope and goals
  • Perform quality control on internal processes to maintain expected standards
  • Adjust schedules and targets on strategic program targets as appropriate
  • Organize, participate in, and creating project materials for client meetings
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and business needs
  • Develop best practice materials, playbooks and other materials in support of the Firm’s ESG programs

Skills and Qualifications:This position requires both hard and soft skills, including:
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g. agile/scrum)

Education and Experience:
  • At least 5 years of professional service experience, with at least 3 years of specific
experience working in ESG
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience leading complex projects for a strategic consulting business
  • Expertise in Sustainability & ESG, including understanding of international frameworks/standards (PRI, SASB, etc.)
  • Understanding of data, metrics, KPIs, etc. associated with ESG
  • Expertise in Excel, data visualization tools, and presentation software (PowerPoint GANTT)
