Position Summary: The Executive Director, New Business Development is responsible for developing and driving the sales business strategies to drive revenue and increase market share through business development, customer focus and relationships. They will ensure implementation and execution of sales strategies and develop a strong sales team capable of prospecting, developing, and closing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the team to meet and exceed the assigned revenue targets

Manage the successful execution of the sales plans, meeting objectives, goals, benchmarks and defined metrics Develop and execute annual strategic business plans to drive revenue through new business creation Develop relationships and engage internal subject matter experts to support the sales strategy, include experts in Vericast products, verticals, market experts, pricing, targeting etc. to: Develop go-to-market strategies Attend key prospect/customer meetings Measure and evaluate strategic implementation against intended results. Responsible for results attained through effective execution against business development and business performance goals Cultivate top to top relationships with decision makers and prospects to further company goals, negotiate key strategic issues and build the business Collect and analyze vertical market research, customer research and competitive analysis Create and develop executable programs, materials and processes that are driven by market and business insights Ensure the successful/flawless handoff from new business sales to sales execution Provide accurate forecasts and monthly business updates Hire, retain, coach, lead and develop direct reports Effectively and timely performance manage associates not meeting assigned objectives or competencies Insure optimal organizational structure to achieve objectives Technical skills: Ensure the sales team is provided training to remain current on company and industry trends and business development

Qualifications

Education & Knowledge

:

Bachelor’s degree preferably in the fields of Business, Marketing, or Communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience / Skills and Competencies: 15+ years successful sales experience, primarily in new business development including: Media advertising Selling multiple / integrated products Selling to large companies Closing sales at the C-suite level Setting Strategy 8+ years leadership experience 8+ years Digital media/product experience Set strategy and led team to exceed revenue goals Visualize, plan and execute objectives and goals Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to analyze, synthesize large sets of data and information to formulate and validate recommendations to make clear business decisions Experience and knowledge of marketing/media products and services including targeting capabilities and distribution alternatives Expert market and industry knowledge Expert in producing sales results including lead generation, solution selling and closing sales Exhibit expert skills in: selling with data and insights, story telling / creating a compelling vision or story, presentation delivery and negotiating Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Strong influencer on key decision makers Exhibit successful leadership skills and has led highly successful sales teams
