Looking for a professional who has experience in engineering services in areas related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, exterior building and grounds maintenance.

The engineers responsibilities are comprised of testing, repairing and maintaining multiple building operating systems.

Key Responsibilities of an HVAC Engineer

The HVAC engineer is responsible for taking into account a large overall operating system on a large commercial portfolio. These requirements will be fulfilled by carrying out duties within the given budget standards. The building engineer determines the scope of the clients' project and makes sure that it is completed within the given deadline.

The Building Engineer’s work may include replacing and upgrading the current system to meet the newly developed system requirements and may require doing some repairing work as well. The system is installed only after the approval from the management.

Building engineer work includes installing ductwork, piping, all the mechanical and electrical components with other related tasks like troubleshooting, repairing, recycling, lights, plugs etc. Building engineers are also involved in, estimating the cost of repairs and communicating with the other departments to ensure successful completion.

The lead building engineer runs weekly meetings and may provide technical consultation to the client’s or to other engineers. Thus, is involved in completing all the responsibilities that are associated with the relevant position like preparing the project specifications, its scope and that the assigned technical work is being completed accurately.

Multiple misc. tasks are required for managing the buildings. Including plumbing, light replacement, HVAC repairs and adjustments. Providing the highest quality of care for our tenants. Communication and customer service is required.

Essential Skills

The individual must have an engineering aptitude, be creative to develop innovative HVAC designs. Excellent communication skills, understanding with willing to learn multiple building systems, delivering work completion on a given deadline, within the given budget standards, excellent organization, time management are some of the qualities that will help in ensuring success.

Educational Requirements

The most basic eligibility criteria are the candidate should have experience in HVAC, electrical both high and low voltage, cooing towers, controls systems, plumbing, fluid dynamics, reading blueprints, door locks and systems, heat pumps, gas/electric boilers, basic computer skills.

Previous work experience related to HVAC, BMS/EMS systems or service-related work experience. Any other professional certification or licensure would be beneficial.

Work Schedule

Though the work schedule is standard, i.e., requiring forty hours weekly, applicant acknowledges will be on a rotating schedule for on call at times and the need to work overtime in case the project needs to be completed on time or in an event of an emergency.
