Req Number 140390FlexStaffOur client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to lead the Operating Room operations at their state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center, specializing in ophthalmology. MUST HAVE OPHTHALMOLOGY EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate will manage and oversee the clinical functions of the OR, Central Sterile, and perioperative nursing areas. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards while maintaining high-quality patient care. Lead and supervise all nursing and allied health staff in the OR, Central Sterile, Pre-Op, and Post-Op areas.

Oversee daily OR operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and infection control standards.

Collaborate with the Medical Director, Anesthesiology, and executive leadership to coordinate patient care services.

Contribute to the Quality Assurance, Risk Management, and Infection Control Programs.

Manage scheduling, staffing, and training of nursing personnel to ensure efficient operation of the surgery center.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.

Promote and maintain an environment of safety, comfort, and cleanliness for patients and staff.

Participate in ongoing staff education, development, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

Current New York State RN licensure (or eligibility through pending application).

Minimum of 2 years of nursing management experience in a surgery center setting.

Strong background in Perioperative and Surgical Nursing.

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

CNOR certification preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and patient database software.
