Looking for Financial Settlement Operations Analyst for six month long initial contract to start with probable extensions and possible conversions to FTE of our client.

This role is for one or our best financial clients with offices in NYC, Southern New Jersey, Southern Maine, Florida and South Carolina.

Candidates can work a hybrid schedule but will need to be onsite in our clients Midtown NYC office at least three times a week.

CANDIDATE PROFILE DETAILS:

Degree/Certifications Required: Post-secondary education is required

Years of experience: 2-4 years'

Reason for request/why opened: Backfilling

Team Size: 12 people on the immediate team (will work with other teams as well but not as closely)

Selling Points of Position: Ability to work with the front office, back office, and vendors; opportunities to learn about security lending and vendor systems; potential movement/career development within client

Best Vs Average Candidate: Detail Oriented, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, team player

How will performance be measured: Meeting deadlines, accuracy, quality of work (limited errors, tasks are done thoroughly, communicating effectively with the team, etc.)

SUMMARY OF DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Summary:

Stock Loan Operations experience. Knowledge of Broadridge BPS and IMPACT book of record systems a plus

Provide support to the US Securities Lending Operations team

Performing reconciliations, processing and resolving daily activity and inputting trades.

Should have a knowledge of Loanet and Broadridge, BPS and IMPACT

- Numbers oriented / Data processing

-Trouble shooting - Facilitating and onboarding new trade system and troubleshooting the new system

MUST HAVE

1.) Settlement experience with fixed income, US treasury, Fed settlement

2.) Experience with accounting, reconciling and balancing

3.) Proficient in Excel and Outlook (excel - formulas, spreadsheets)

4.) Detail oriented - ensure information is accurate

5.) Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

6.) General financial market knowledge, including mark-to-market and lending rates

7.) Financial Analyst Experience - 2+ years

8.) Tech savvy - quick learner and able to pick-up easily

NICE TO HAVE:

1.) Fixed income finance knowledge - able calculate interest payments on bonds, market to market on contract.
