TITLE: Fixed Income E-Trading Developer

Location: NYC

Salary Range : Compensation will be based on experience, between $180.000 - $250,000 + Bonus

E-Trading Strategy sits within the companies Global Markets division as part of the Digital Office. They cover Fixed Income and FX asset classes following a "strats" model rather than being a more traditional IT function. They are a user oriented team with a wide range of developers operating globally in London, New York and Tokyo.

What You'll Do:
  • You are a confident and self-motivating developer with a solid understanding of high performance architectures and APIs. You are client focused and are comfortable communicating with stakeholders across the bank.
  • You are at home developing in a small self-organising team and value user feedback within an agile development process.
  • You can manage expectations effectively and have a demonstrable track record of owning delivery of a high profile product to demanding business users.
  • You are familiar with large enterprise systems, and understand the value of an intuitive, robust and reliable systems.
  • Specific experience in banking not essential.
Skills / Experience You Will Need:
  • Advanced Java (e.g. multi-threading, optimisation)
  • Aeron or other high performance messaging protocols.
  • Experience building high performance APIs.
  • Object oriented design and development, design patterns.
  • Auxiliary development process skillset (GIT, Maven etc.).
  • Test automation technologies (e.g. Robot framework).
  • Agile processes & practices e.g. Scrum.
Desirable:
  • Service based architectures.
  • Cloud native technologies.
  • Experience in Fixed Income E-Trading systems.
