Floor staff needed "Server Assistant"

Lightship Hospitality Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced FOH Staff for our restaurant, Frying Pan. We are a NYC landmark and seasonal waterfront destination. Located in the Chelsea section of the Hudson River Park, we are a high volume restaurant, visited by over a half of million visitors a season.

We are now hiring Front of the House floor staff for the upcoming 2024 summer season. This is NOT a Server/waiter position. We are looking for energetic, and hospitable individuals that will make the most of this opportunity. Experience in very high volume settings is preferred. Job duties may include, but are not limited to bussing, food running, drink running, helping guests throughout the day & evening.

Need excellent customer service skills.

General cleaning duties

Acting professionally when communicating with guests and co-workers.

Ensures our extraordinary Guest Service standards are maintained at all times.

Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning tables, setting napkins, plates, and utensils.

Protects the establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.

Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, refilling water glasses, and being attentive to additional needs.

Supports the wait staff by communicating and assisting customer needs, running food items, etc.

Closes & opens dining facilities by cleaning chairs, tables and restrooms. Sweeping, and removing trash from the facility, as well as daily and weekly routine deep cleaning.

Must maintain knowledge of menu items and ingredients.

Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, congenial, polite, professional and efficient attitude.

Weekend availability is a must. Sundays included.
