POSITION SUMMARY The Food Service Utility Worker is responsible for assembling / packaging meals for the Senior Mobile Meals Program and assisting in the training of interns in the f ood service program. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Program Operations

Operate Cash Register during hours of operation

Clean tables, chairs, counter tops & microwaves

Sweep & mops floors

Stock Snack Displays and Condiments (i.e.: Tea Bags, Hot Cocoa, ketchup, creamers, sugars, etc.)

Assist customers as needed

Empty all trash containers

Load/empty dish washing machine.

Maintain a work environment in a clean, organized and safe manner

Use all required safety devices and personal protective equipment

Perform work tasks in a safe manner and do not take unsafe “short cuts”

Conduct daily inspections of immediate work area(s) to look for unsafe conditions

Ensure all accidents are promptly reported to immediate supervisor and Human Resources

Be familiar with the Safety and Health Accident Prevention Program and abide by all safety and health rules, work practices, and regulations

Assist Supervisor in fostering development of good work habits in trainees through demonstrating positive work attitudes and habits

Responsible for understanding and adhering to Gateway Community Industries’ Corporate Compliance Policy and Standards of Conduct as well as all applicable program rules, regulations, and policies.

Attend all required meetings

Perform other duties as may be assigned.

QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education:

High School diploma

Experience:

Minimum one year experience in commercial food services

Licenses / Certifications:

First Aid & CPR certified

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to lift up to 60lbs

Must be able to stand, walk, stoop and bend

Must be able to sit or stand for 8 hours per day
