Description We are seeking a General Office Clerk in Rochester, New York, to join our team. This role provides an opportunity for individuals interested in building their administrative and document control skills within a dynamic team environment. The employment type for this position is short-term contract.Responsibilities: Provide efficient and timely administrative assistance to the team. Maintain and control documents, ensuring all records are up-to-date and easily accessible. Manage packaging and labeling tasks, ensuring products are prepared correctly for distribution. Assist with other general clerical duties as required. Actively participate in team meetings and discussions, contributing ideas and solutions. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflows. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, promoting productivity and efficiency. Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity. Continually develop skills and knowledge relevant to the role. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times. Requirements Candidate must have a solid grasp of general office administrative and clerical tasks, including managing files, answering phones, and maintaining office supplies. Proficiency in document control, such as filing, organizing, and storing documents, is required. Experience with packaging and labeling in a professional setting is necessary. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Must have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work. Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently. Must have strong problem-solving abilities and exhibit initiative in managing tasks. Familiarity with standard office equipment, such as printers, photocopiers, and fax machines, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, is necessary. Basic understanding of data entry and record keeping is needed. Should demonstrate strong organizational skills. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Further education or certification in Office Administration is a plus. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
