Do you want to be part of the business development team helping to establish Amazon Web Services as the leading cloud computing platform for SAP solutions and customers?As a Partner Solutions Architect focused on SAP at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS products (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, and Amazon EBS) across the global SAP customer and partner base. The emphasis being on working directly with customers to develop cloud migration and/or adoption strategies as it relates to their business-critical SAP systems.The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill in both SAP products and cloud computing as well as customer facing skills that will enable you to represent AWS well, not only to customers but to the broader SAP community including: developers, architects & SAP itself. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges of the enterprise.Key Responsibilities:As a key member of the AWS Partner Solution Architect team working with our Global System Integrators, this role will help ensure customer success as they implement SAP on AWS. They will act as an Amazon ambassador in customer engagements as well as key efforts directly with SAP partners. This includes:· Collaborate with the global AWS SAP Account team on strategic customer opportunities· Contribute to AWS’ strategy and understanding of the SAP Market· Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful partner engagements· Assist system integrators in building offerings and technical strategies that will enable them to build and sell their offering on the AWS platform· Coach and train Global System Integrators on an ongoing basis to adopt AWS innovations for SAP workloads· Assist Global System Integrators in pursuits and enable them to win business independently· As a member of the AWS Partner Solution Architect team, you will act as a trusted advisor to our global systems integrators for SAP on AWS· Assist SAP partners in sizing, designing and pricing solutions in customer opportunities· Capture and share best-practice knowledge for deploying, running and managing SAP solutions on AWS with the SAP Developer, SAP end user and AWS communities· Significant travel may be required (up to 50%)Work/Life BalanceOur team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS· Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field of study OR 8+ years of professional or military work experience· 8+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)· 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures· Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients· 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries and demonstrated an understanding of SAP applications, server technology, and network security· Experience and deep knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and each products' architecture and infrastructure requirements· Experience and knowledge of SAP Basis / NetWeaver Administration· Experience in SAP Sizing by using the SAP Quicksizer· Experience and knowledge of SAP system migration or upgrades· Experience in SAP Backup and Recovery· Experience in SAP High Availability architectures· 5+ years in customer facing roles· Experience working with end user or developer’s communities· Knowledge in architecting, deploying, and the operation of SAP solutions· BA/BS degree requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Broad knowledge of the entire SAP platform stack· Deep experience with helping customers implement SAP integration scenarios through SAP Cloud Platform or other cloud services a plus· Ability to contribute to complex software development projects· Previous experience with Amazon Web Services and architecting SAP solutions· Experience working for SAP or with SAP in a development/customer support role· Experience writing and publishing technical whitepapers· Experience working directly in customer SAP implementations· Computer Science, Math or Technical background; working knowledge of software development practices and technologies required.
