The Gym Supervisor is also charged with organizing activities and distributing and caring for equipment as needed. Greets everyone by using names whenever possible; extends thanks whenever appropriate; makes relationship building the number one priority at all times. The position is responsible for ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and safe and fun atmosphere in the gym Serve as staff contact for the second floor Communicate and enforce rules and policies Assure that the gym is clean and equipment is put away at theend of each shift Ensure organization and fair play during activities Be familiar with and carries out emergency procedures, buildingrules and regulations Assure that the gym is clean and equipment is put away at theend of each shift. Keep appropriate logs and records All other duties assigned by supervisorRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS: Understands the YMCA philosophy and Character Development Values. Must posses a high school diploma. Ability to communicate and organize diverse populations. Must possess strong communication skills and judgment to deliver excellent member service. Knowledge of YMCA rules, regulations and policies.
