Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has partnered with a government contractor/research organization to find a

Help Desk Analyst. This is a contract role that is 100% onsite; the selected candidate must be able to work onsite 5 days a week. If you're looking for established processes/procedures and are comfortable following protocols, this will be a good fit for you. You are going to learn a lot on the job; you must be adaptable and learn on the go. There is a lot of unique software the researchers use that most people don't have experience with, giving you a great opportunity to learn new, uncommon technology. They will support your career growth, monitor skill gaps, and set up timeframes for individuals to close those gaps with online training, etc.

Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for incoming concerns, systems, software, and hardware-related issues from internal and external clients
  • Respond to queries, run diagnostic problems, determine and implement solutions
  • Assist in evaluating and deploying software and updates
  • Assist with maintaining the organization's assets
  • Record all work performed in the ticketing system
  • Create step-by-step training manuals and videos for the clients
  • Providing training to staff
  • Follow the organization's policies and processes

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working as a Help Desk technician or other customer service role
  • Familiar with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Mac OS, IOS, Android, and Chrome OS
  • Familiar with Active Directory
  • Ability to diagnose/solve basic computer/technical issues
  • Knowledge of programming
  • Ability to adjust to technological changes
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skills
  • Work Status: due to government requirements, only US Citizens will be considered for this role
  • COVID-19 vaccine: must be fully vaccinated
