Job DescriptionUnder supervision with some latitude for independent action, the selected candidate will respond to customer inquiries, provide information, conduct research and perform office support. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Operate Q-Matic Customer Flow System and provide high level customer service.

Respond to housing inquiries and receive and process related documents i.e.:

Process application updates to reflect changes in housing priority, address, income or family composition;

Provide information regarding applications currently being processed by the Eligibility Division; eligibility requirements for public housing and Section 8 Housing Assistance

programs.

Provide general assistance to voucher holders, tenants, and landlords regarding the Section 8 Program; landlord inquiries pertaining to inspection results or missing subsidy

payments;

requests for Section 8 forms and for re-scheduling of appointments.

Utilize Siebel, computer databases and information technology systems to research data required to respond to inquiries.

Maintain tracking system used to record and monitor inquiries and resolutions.

Perform computer support and other related duties as required.

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college; or

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent, approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization and four years of satisfactory full-time experience in housing management at a development or developments containing at least 150 apartments, performing any one or a combination of the following duties: interviewing applicants; determining eligibility; gathering and evaluating information to resolve complaints; collecting rents; and/or resolving tenant related problems; or

A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience as described in "1" or "2" above. Undergraduate college credit may be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for one year of satisfactory full-time experience. However, all candidates must have a four-year high school diploma, or its educational equivalent

EXPERIENCE IN WHICH TASKS PERFORMED ARE PRIMARILY CLERICAL, SECRETARIAL, RECEPTIONIST, AND/OR ACCOUNTING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
