Job Description

Bosch Thermotechnology has an opportunity for a paid Technical Service Intern to join the Bosch team and learn how to support our growing market of heating, cooling, and hot water systems. This internship requires a student that is customer focused and currently enrolled or has recently graduated from an approved HVACR program with the possibility of full-time employment upon graduation.The ideal student will have an interest in developing their career in a manufacturer service role supporting Bosch and Buderus HVACR products for customers and contractors.

General Internship activities will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing phone and email based trouble shooting and applications assistance to contractors, dealers, engineers, architects and homeowners on hydronic heating, forced hot air, domestic hot water, air-conditioning, heat pumps.
  • Interacting with other departments such as Product Management, Quality, Risk and Assessment and Warranty and Return
  • Assist as needed with the support of new product introductions
  • Assist with complaint resolution, feedback or technical investigation when required.
  • Exposure to computer based electronic records of calls and departmental emails
  • Reviewing technical materials to verify correctness.
  • Assist with the creation of departmental technical documents and/or technical videos
  • Assist with trouble shooting and applications support internally to Customer Service Team and outside sales representatives
  • Assist the business with continuous improvement projects

Qualifications

Required Qualifications to be eligible to participate and remain in this internship:

  • Eligible students for the Technical Service Intern position will consist of students that are actively enrolled or recently graduated from an HVAC-R program.

  • Flexibility with regard to scheduled work time established during core hours of 8am - 5pm. Schedule will be adjusted based on student need if school schedule consideration is required.

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A positive attitude and mindset to learn and help achieve personal and team goals
  • Attention to detail, and an overall sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Ability to pass a background check and 10 panel drug test

Optional Preferred Qualifications:

  • NATE certification
  • EPA certification
  • System piping, hydronics, venting, wiring experience.
  • Retention oil burner experience
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of the following required: Oil and Gas installation and service, Boiler, controls, fuel combustion, heat exchange/transfer, fluid transfer, fresh air and exhaust systems. Air - Conditioning circuits, Air conditioning, compressors, controls, ground loops, Domestic hot water systems.
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to take initiative, customer orientation, communication skills and ability to function as a member of a team.
  • Strong Phone and Organizational Skills
  • Computer skills. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access or Outlook a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Phone and computer based general office environment for daily work, home office, site visits when available

Additional Information

Applicants must be able to commute as needed multiple days per week to the Londonderry NH facility.
