Our Deployment Services Team is hiring an Implementation Technician to join our growing team!

The Implementation Technician will be required to obtain knowledge of IT related projects and utilize understanding of the priority, deadlines, client needs, and technical components of the project to deliver high quality service for Montefiore IT's clients.

Driver's license and /or transportation to travel to locations is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Desktop Support experience (preferably in a large network environment)
  • Act as the point-person out in the field, utilize analytical skills to confirm the fullfillment of the engineering and business requirements.
  • Proactively escalate issues as needed. Apply industry standards and Montefiore IT best practice
  • Participates in multiple large-scale projects concurrently which involves the installation, implementation, and upgrades of communication devices such as personal computers, printers, wireless devices,switches, and routers.
  • Performs site surveys, coordinates with internaland external resources, and troubleshoots issues.
  • Participate in multiple large-scale concurrent projects. Projects include enhancements, migrations, additions, upgrades to existing devices, and reconfiguring existing devices.
  • Daily Service Requests can be up to 800 per month
  • Confirm the new equipment fulfills the engineering and business requirements.
  • Install communication devices such as PC's, printers, wireless devices, switches, and routers at customer sites. Verify installed equipment is functioning properly.
  • May install applications or coordinate with other departments for application installation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for testing (NCC, internet group, desktop group, and engineering) and with vendors as required.
  • Coordinate with other teams and users involved with the implementation and ensure downtime is scheduled with the department.
  • Fulfills requirements designed by the infrastructure design team.
  • Responsible for the physical racking and stacking of the equipment in the on-site data closet.
  • Assist with setting up the configuration for network and server installations.
  • Verify the connectivity and coordinate with other departments to ensure connectivity.
  • Multiple large-scale projects concurrently which involves the installation, implementation, and upgrades of communication devices such as personal computers, printers, wireless devices, switches, and routers.
  • Conducts site surveys, coordinates with internal and external resources, and troubleshoots issues.
  • Prior to turnover, addresses all technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and logical issues to determine the cause of a problem.
  • Confirm the functionality of the equipment and use standard methodologies and physical tools to identify and resolve the hardware related issue.
  • If project requires server upgrades, additional servers, or decommissioning old servers, work in the Data Center to install servers and run cables as required. Install data cabinets and components of cabinets including KVM's, servers, cables, power devices, and connectivity components (switches).
  • Responsible for site surveys.
  • Conduct initial site survey by meeting with the client and gathering the necessary information regarding the layout of the site. Identify the quantity of network devices and port capacity.
  • Documentation of site survey and completion of elevation drawings using standard naming schemes and adhering to set standards.
  • Turnover site survey and walk through with NCC.
  • Equipment tracking, asset management, and inventory control.
  • Update renter new device ID's
  • Handle all aspects of turnover process including meeting with NCC staff and turning over all documentation associated with the project ensuring an effective transition from project to operational support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in Desktop Support experience preferably in a large enterprise environment
  • Experience with site surveys, identifying network devices elevation drawing; coordinates with internal and external resources, and troubleshooting issues.
