Malca-Amit Custom House Broker seeking hard working, self-motivated, detail oriented person with good communication skills required. Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment. Must be willing to work overtime and must have a car. plus medical and dental .
Data Entry and Documentation:
Enter shipment details into internal systems or customs software
Prepare and file customs entries and other required documentation.
Ensure accuracy of import paperwork (commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists).
Correspond with clients regarding ISF, documents, classification, Customs/PGA issues,
exams/holds, etc.
Monitor, track and tracing client shipments.
Ensure accurate and timely transmissions of CBP PGA entries.
Participate in on-going education/training.
Ensure timely billing to clients.
Customs Compliance:
Ensure that the correct Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) is used.
Assist in ensuring shipments comply with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) PGA
regulations.
Maintain updated knowledge with basic import regulations.
Support management with entry audit.
Support management with reviewing of departmental reports.
Communication and Coordination:
Communicate with clients, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies as
needed.
Track shipments and update clients on the status of their cargo.
Clerical and Support Duties:
Scan, file, and maintain records of all processed entries in accordance with Customs and PGA
regulations
Timely and accurate billing of completed entries.
Support senior specialists or customs brokers with administrative tasks.
Learning and Development:
Participate in training programs to understand customs procedures and regulations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
Intermediate level computer skills, with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and time-management skills.
Organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Willingness to learn U.S. Customs regulations and documentation procedures.
