Description We are seeking an Indemnity Claims Specialist to join our team. This role is based in CENTRAL ISLIP, New York, 11722-4530, United States. The chosen candidate will manage WC Indemnity claims within established standards and practices, ensuring the best possible outcome. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and can be performed remotely.Responsibilities: Supervise the receipt of claims, confirm policy coverage, and acknowledge the claim Investigate and gather information regarding the claim to determine its validity, filing necessary documentation with state agencies Manage well-documented action plans to reduce the overall cost of the claim Handle potential claim recoveries of all types Manage subrogation and litigation of the claim as it applies Maintain detail-oriented customer relationships and communicate claim status with the customer and claimant Comply with the rules and regulations of the applicable state Establish reserves and authorize payments within reserving authority limits Adhere to client and carrier guidelines and participate in claims review as needed Undertake additional projects and duties as assigned. Requirements Applicant must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Indemnity Claims Specialist or in a related field. Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is required. Experience in auditing is mandatory, ideally within the indemnity claims sector. Familiarity with benefit functions and claim administration is essential. Must possess knowledge and experience in Worker's Compensation. Experience in managing Worker's Compensation Claims is necessary. The candidate should be well-versed with all aspects of Workers Compensation.
